    Layer height

    A smaller layer height increases the layer count and often improves vertical detail, while a larger layer can reduce operating time. The smallest value is not automatically best; nozzle size, geometry, and use all matter.

    Infill

    Infill supports internal surfaces and affects weight and time. Raising it does not automatically compensate for weak orientation or unsuitable wall settings.

    Walls and orientation

    Wall count and layer-line direction can matter more than infill for some loads. Functional parts should be reviewed against force direction, mounting, and heat.

    A practical review before ordering

    Start with the part’s purpose, final dimensions, and the environment where it will be used. Then compare the material, orientation, and finish against those requirements rather than choosing a setting in isolation.

    If a fit, load, or heat requirement matters, request a small test or a file review. A test makes it easier to check tolerances and surface quality before committing to a larger production run.
